Italy, A Pizza in Pisa

Video

Where Italy does not have the best reputation when it comes to tourism and an honest day of hard work, it seems things have changed in the past two decades. Traffic was courteous and safe, shops were friendly and patient and no one tried to cheat us out of our hard earned euros.
Instead we were treated with well maintained and affordable tourist-sites and restaurants with great food and friendly service. A big releave after Slovenia and Croatia.

Greece, An empire in decay

It was not easy to enter Greece. Aparently the border-guards felt way superior over a motorhome with Thai plates and at first they refused to let us enter because our insurance papers were digital (welcome to the 21st century), but after a helpfull Turkish customs-official printed them out for us, the Greek could not find any other reasons to detain us and grudgingly let us enter the EU.

Georgia: Ex-Soviet with a mind of its own

Video

Georgia is a bit of an odd duck. It is ex-Soviet, but has its own script which looks very exotic. It has an interesting “motto”, which is embodied in the image of a woman holding a glas of wine in one hand and a sword in the other. No, she is not an agressive drunk: “Guest are welcomed if they come in peace, but if they come with bad intentions… “
It is also the only country I know of that does not require a visa for anyone and alows visitors to stay for one year. They are not kidding with their motto.
